Graphics Tab
Accessed by Main Menu/User Settings/Graphics tab
This tab allows you to set your screen resolution, whether to run in 'full screen' mode or 'windowed' mode.
Both selections will allow you to run with or without 'flexible desktop' ie to be able to have black around your game window which most people prefer to enable additional hotbars and other gumps open without interfering with the game play window itself. The game play screen size may be enlarged or reduced by dragging the bottom right corner in or out when you run in 'Flexible' mode.
Flexible desktop can now be maximized as with any window by clicking the minimize, maximized or reduced 'normal windows' keys, to take up your whole window while leaving the taskbar, rather than full screen mode which eliminates the taskbar from view.
You may select to view the client with Legacy Art in full or with
just the Legacy container gumps, chests, backpacks etc.
Foliage may be turned on or off as you wish. This
applies to all facets in the game, including deeded trees in your house.
Here you can also toggle shadows on or off, set the brightness, particle detail, the mob cache, disk cache, system memory and idle animations.
Altering these settings may improve performance for slower machines.
Bindings Tab
The default key bindings that are pre-set are located here by selecting Main Menu/User
Settings/Bindings tab
You may select either the KR or Legacy Default Bindings. (Legacy bindings will automatically be selected if you have selected Legacy Chat mode in the interface
tab and elect to use the legacy bindings when you make the change, you may select yes or no to do this.)
Note: if electing to use 'Legacy chat' with KR key bindings then your keyboard will become as per a normal keyboard and any letters you type will appear as letters, so setting
key bindings/macros to these
letters, eg) a, b, c, d, e etc will not only type the letter but also trigger the
action of the key binding/macro
as per what currently happens in the 2d client. If the
'KR chat' is selected then any key maybe used for macros without it also typing the letter when the macro is initiated, however you will need to type <enter> when speaking.
There is a description of the 'actions' available and the key/s to press to perform these actions. eg) to open your backpack the default is 'I' or to toggle for war mode it is 'W'.
You may change any of the default key bindings to whatever keys you prefer by:
Highlight (line turns yellow) the key binding you wish to change by <LEFT> clicking on the Action part, then press the keys you wish that action to perform on. eg) if you wish to open your backpack with <ctrl>b rather than the the default key "I", then highlight that action line and press <ctrl>b and it will change the default. Once you have made any changes you want, click apply and OK to leave the menu.
Pressing <Esc> will clear the current binding to a blank space so will remove any binding set for that action.
The Key bindings tab now includes a drop down menu for 'Scroll Wheel
Behaviour' which allows the wheel to be used for three options: Zoom,
Target Friendly or Target Hostile.
Note: changing the key bindings on one character in an account changes them on ALL characters in that account so be mindful of this when changing them.
Hints
* To change or delete a key binding in a hotbar or macro, right clicking on the icon and selecting assign key will do the same function.
* Some other default keybindings are discussed here: Miscellaneous Desktop

Interface Tab
Accessed by Main Menu/User Settings/Interface
This tab contains the setting for:
* Use Custom UI - if you are using a custom 'skin' either designed by
yourself or obtained from the modder's site this is where you can select
to 'use' it. If selected, it will use that custom 'skin' on all
characters in your account. It may be toggled on or off from here or
from the main screen before you 'log in' a character.
* Enable UI Scaling: when checked 'on' the slider enables you to alter the size off all the UI features. This means that all hotbars, chat screen, opening gumps are reduced in size as a percentage of the default setting. The setting maybe changed to anywhere from 50-99% of default size. Remember that the written 'text' is also altered in size so the lower settings may drastically affect the size of text you see while giving you more room on the screen to set gumps etc. By altering the setting to your preference, the UI change can be very good to maximize the use of your game screen but ensure you make it 'readable'. You just need to find the best UI setting for yourself by experimenting.
* Show Chat Window: may be checked on or off, when off the chat window disappears from your screen.
* Chat Window Fade Delay: Fades the window frame after the selected time from your screen. (from 5 seconds to forever in increments)
* Chat Text Fade Delay: Fades the text contained in chat windows to the selected
time. (from 5 seconds to forever in increments)
* Overhead Chat: on or off
* Overhead Chat Fade Delay: determines how long 'on screen' chat remains on your

* The place to reset your map Icons to the Default settings.
